About This Club
Welcome to the Malden Parochial CofE Primary After School Taekwondo Club — a KS1 & KS2 programme (Years 1–6) held right at your child's school, making martial arts accessible and convenient for busy families.
Our Autumn term sessions run every Tuesday, starting 8th September. Classes are designed to help children of all abilities stay active, learn self-control, and develop confidence through the practice of Taekwondo. Led by experienced, DBS-checked instructors, each class combines fun with structured learning in a safe, supportive environment.
Whether your child is a complete beginner or has some martial arts experience, they'll find a welcoming space to grow, make friends, and challenge themselves positively.
Benefits for Students
Builds Focus & Respect
Taekwondo teaches children to listen carefully, follow instructions, and show respect to teachers and peers — skills that transfer directly to the classroom.
Improves Coordination & Balance
Through kicks, stances, and movement drills, children develop body awareness, coordination, and balance that benefit them in all physical activities.
Promotes Discipline & Perseverance
Learning martial arts requires practice and patience. Children learn to set goals, work hard, and celebrate progress — building a growth mindset.
Boosts Confidence
As children master new skills and earn belt promotions, their self-esteem grows. They learn to believe in themselves and their abilities.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who can join this club?
This club is for KS1 & KS2 pupils — children in Years 1 to 6 at Malden Parochial CofE Primary School. No prior Taekwondo experience is required.
What should my child bring?
Just comfortable sportswear (joggers and t-shirt) and a water bottle. Training is barefoot. After a few sessions, we recommend getting a Taekwondo uniform (dobok).
How do I collect my child?
Collection is from the school at 4:30 PM. We ensure all children are signed out to a known adult. Please let us know in advance if someone different will be collecting.
What if my child misses a session?
We understand that children occasionally miss sessions due to illness or family commitments. While we can't offer refunds for individual missed sessions, we're flexible and supportive.
Can my child join mid-term?
Yes, if spaces are available! We provide catch-up support to help new students integrate with the group.
Are there belt gradings?
Yes! Children can work through the coloured belt system (white, yellow, green, blue, red, black). Gradings are held termly and give children clear goals to work towards.
